The three-day festival takes place in mid-October of each year, starting on the 14th and ending on the 16th. The festival carries the ritual from the 19th century of reconciliation between different tribes of Siwa in the hands of a Sufi sheikh. Nestled around the sacred Gebel Dakrur mountain, this three-day celebration is a captivating blend of ancient Sufi spirituality and vibrant Amazigh traditions. Young men prepare a traditional dish of rice and meat—Fattah-- which is shared after the noon prayer in a collective feast arranged by the youth. Visitors to Siyaha experience a rare window into a living heritage where faith, community, and nature unite. Thousands of Siwans gather to share communal meals, perform mesmerizing spiritual chants, and renew bonds of peace and brotherhood. The festival is an extraordinary journey into Egypt’s intangible cultural treasures, offering a soulful escape from the ordinary.

These three days also coincide with the harvest season of dates and olives, drawing people in through the Harvest Festival and the celebration of tourism. The people of Siwa Oasis used the occasion to launch the winter tourism season, during which foreign tourism begins to increase and continues until the end of March each year. The days are filled with festivity, tradition, and the presence of both locals and tourists, all engaging in the traditional rituals that reflect the captivating and distinctive character of Siwa.
